Doing Something Different
Like a lot of others, this last year forced some unexpected changes on me. It also made me realize it was time to do something different. I bought my first camera, a Canon Canonet QL17 film camera in the 1980’s. I took lots of photos my first several years of owning it. I put it down for awhile but then became interested in photography again after my son was born. I wanted to capture all the special moments of his childhood and my camera helped me to do that. Along the way, I became interested in photographing people. Friends would ask me to take their photographs and encouraged me to start a business. Family life, work, busyness kept me from doing it but now the time feels right. Getting started has been the most difficult part but doing something different feels like the right thing to do.
